Blackie & the Rodeo Kings originally formed in 1996 when Colin Linden, Stephen Fearing and Tom Wilson came together to record what was suppose to be a one-off tribute album to the great Canadian songwriter Willie P. Bennett. Earlier this year, the band released their latest album, Kings and Queens, which features special guest performances by some of their favourite female singers including Emmylou Harris.
Serena Ryder, Amy Helm, Holly Cole, Mary Margaret O'Hara, Pam Tillis, Rosanne Cash, Lucinda Williams and Cassandra Wilson. Blackie and the Rodeo Kings are multiple Hamilton Music Award winners and Juno Award recipients.
